Robert Blackmore, the company's founder and spokesman, speculated that the cold may have hampered brick and mortar retailers more, as people stayed cozy at home but did more online shopping this winter.
"We once again exceeded all our expectations for this quarter," said Blackmore. Although not willing to share exact figures, Blackmore indicated that he was more than pleased with the sales growth, and thanked his staff for handling a record number of customers' orders.
The firm places emphasis on environmentally sound products made using the latest manufacturing technologies, resulting in higher-performing gear that is less harmful to the planet. For example, Blackmore claims its
high quality bbq and oven gloves are known for their durability and toughness, and therefore have a longer life in customers' homes. That leads to fewer gloves being added to landfill sites across the country each year.
HellFire has joined forces with Amazon, and according to Blackmore, it has enjoyed the benefits of using its network of fulfillment centers in the United States to deliver products quickly to consumers. "The 2015 Christmas shopping rush was handled very well by both Amazon our own staff," stated Blackmore. "Virtually all customers got very fast deliveries, and even the deep cold and snow did not slow things down."
Now that summer has arrived, and barbecue season is in full swing, what is next for the company? "We are expanding our leading products into Europe," said Blackmore with enthusiasm. "Europe is a huge market, and we are excited to bring our quality BBQ gear to people there." The company also plans to release more products shortly into the Canadian market.
