 (EMAILWIRE.COM, November 16, 2011 ) NEW YORK, NY -- Futurama 6 is the DVD set that consists of the second half of the showÂ’s eighth broadcast season which aired on television during 2011. The thirteen episodes are better known as Season 6-B and comes with a host of other special features. Futurama is an animated science fiction series that originally debuted on Fox and ran for several years before it switched over to Comedy Central.
Futurama season 6 picks up where the last season ended with more laughs than ever before. In March 2011, it was announced that Futurama has been renewed for a seventh seventh season, consisting of at least 26 episodes, scheduled to air in 2012 and 2013. Over the years, Futurama has received numerous awards, being one of the most critically acclaimed animated series on television.
The Futurama 6 DVD set will have 2 discs with all thirteen episodes of the second half of the 26 episode season. It will include optional commentaries for all thirteen episodes, deleted and extended scenes, “Christopher’s Big Score: The Music of Futurama,” and Professor Famsworth and fan featurettes. The Futurama 6 release date for the DVD and blu-ray sets is on December 20, 2011.
