Adventure Canada Announces Special 20th Anniversary Rates on Select Cabins

(EMAILWIRE.COM, June 24, 2008 ) Mississauga, ON--To celebrate 20 years of hosting journeys to some of the world’s most exotic destinations, Adventure Canada announces a one-time only rate reduction on select cabins for its 2008 Canadian Arctic and East Coast expeditionary cruises. Adventure Canada is currently offering a discount of a $1000.00 per person on their High Arctic Adventure: September 18th -30th.

Since 1988, Adventure Canada has offered small-ship expeditionary cruising programs featuring top-notch resource staff and tour leaders renowned for their scientific expertise as well as their enthusiasm for the regions they share with their co-adventurers. Cruise ships of approximately 100 passengers feature high staff to passenger ratios, a relaxed and intimate atmosphere and a sense of community and shared experience.

Current scientific research speculates that rapid shifts in the Arctic climate will ultimately alter the nature, geography and inhabitants of some of the world’s last untouched wilderness. Adventure Canada has forged relationships with organizations such as the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, the Walrus Foundation and Canadian Geographic Magazine, and each guest contributes a portion of their cruising fees to a Discovery Fund which has been set up to support cultural, educational and sustainable environmental initiatives in the communities they visit.

Adventure Canada has been recognized as one of the “Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth” by National Geographic Adventure Magazine and was awarded the Cruise Vision Award by the Newfoundland and Labrador Cruise Association.

The 2008 cruise schedule begins in September and features two ice-strengthened vessels specifically designed for Arctic expeditions. All cabins have windows or portholes with outside views and private facilities. Most shore landings are taken in inflatable Zodiac boats that allow passengers to visit remote communities and view unique flora and fauna up close.

Cruises start from $3,395 (plus air). For more information, call Adventure Canada at 1-800-363-7566 or go to
